Hi there! I'm Ari, a poet, professor and author from South Minneapolis. I now live in Saint Paul with my musician and educator husband Grey.
A few things about me:
-I love people and am ever drawn to learning to serve, love, and support the communities around me. I love the way in which God transforms the way in which I see the world, interact with the people within it, as well as how I can relate to the earth and creation itself and the cultures I belong to.
-I love the arts, creative writing, and mentorship. I currently get to do work with the prison system, underserved voices, alongside teaching college students and working on my own books and projects. I went to University of Northwestern for my undergrad in Creative Writing. Afterwards, I went to receive my MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Hamline University.
-I also love to sit down and have one-on-one conversations with folks.
-Grey and I were drawn to Hope Grove in the way that we felt we could continue to ask questions, grow, and be around a community who aims for real authentic connections.
I would love to get to know you! Please feel free to connect with me.
