Emily Nuckolls

I grew up in northern Minnesota spending most of my free time out in the woods or playing music of various kinds with my friends and family. In high school, I became quite active in my church and developed a passion for listening to people’s stories and finding inspiration in them.

I attended the University of Northwestern in Saint Paul and graduated with Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Since graduating in 2017, I have been working as a social worker in the greater Twin Cities area; specifically, I work as a Program Coordinator at Restart Inc., where I and my coworkers teach independent living skills as well as advocate for those that we serve in various ways.

I married my husband, Jake, in January of 2018, and we live in the heart of Uptown in a cozy little apartment surrounded by my plants, his books, and my various musical instruments and vinyls.

I found this community during my second year of college and was immediately captivated by the down-to-earth people that I came to know quite quickly. I felt invited to participate and be myself and deeply dive into my faith as well as continue to develop my growing passion for people and their stories. I am humbled and honored to serve at the church that Jake and I call “home.” Come talk to me; I think everyone has something of importance to bring to a conversation, and I’d love to get to know you.
