The No. 11 seed NC State Wolfpack (24-14) meet the 2nd-seeded Marquette Golden Eagles (27-9) Friday in the Sweet 16 at American Airlines Center in Dallas. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:09 p.m. ET (CBS). Below, we look at NC State vs. Marquetteodds from FanDuel Sportsbook before making our expert college basketball picks and predictions.

Marquette outlasted Colorado in an entertaining 2nd-round game, winning 81-77. However, the Buffaloes covered by a hook (a half point) as 4.5-point underdogs and the Over (150) connected. Marquette is 4-1 straight up (SU) in the postseason, splitting against the spread (ATS) in its 2 NCAA Tourney games, while also splitting the Over-Under.

NC State has been on an amazing run, winning 5 games in 5 days at the ACC Tournament. State then beat Texas Tech 80-67 in the opening round and Oakland 79-73 in OT in the 2nd round of the NCAA Tournament for a 7th victory in 11 days. However, the Wolfpack failed to cover as 6.5-point favorites vs. Oakland, but they're still 5-1 ATS in the past 6 games, with the Over going 3-1 in the previous 4 outings.

Marquette is No. 8 in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll. NC State is unranked and only received an NCAA berth after winning the ACC Tournament and the conference's automatic bid.

These teams once met for all the marbles in 1974 as NC State won 76-64 in the National Championship Game at Greensboro Coliseum to hoist the trophy. Marquette ended up returning to the big game in 1977, beating North Carolina in legendary coach Al McGuire's final game for its only national title.

Marquette is facing an ACC team in the NCAA Tournament for the 1st time since a 1st-round loss to North Carolina in 2022.

NC State is back in the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2015 when it lost to 4th-seeeded Louisville as a No. 8 seed after bumping off No. 1 seed Villanova in the 2nd round. The Wolfpack have lost its past 4 trips to the Sweet 16 since beating Iowa State back in 1986 to get to the Elite 8.

The Wolfpack last faced a Big East team in the NCAA Tournament a year ago when it lost to Creighton 72-63 in the 1st round.
