Fayetteville woman wins $100K on scratch-off ticket brought at Hope Mills grocery store

Francene Ray, of Fayetteville, paid $50 for a $10 Million Spectacular scratch-off ticket at a grocery store in Hope Mills and won a $100,000 prize.

What did she take home?

After required state and federal taxes were withheld, Ray collected $71,264 from the lottery headquarters in Raleigh on Wednesday.

Where was the ticket purchased?

The winning $10 Million Spectacular ticket was bought at Walmart on Legion Road in Hope Mills.

The $10 Million Spectacular game debuted this month with five top prizes of $10 million, 20 prizes of $1 million and 20 prizes of $100,000. Five $10 million prizes, 19 $1 million prizes and 19 $100,000 prizes remain unclaimed.
