Game time for UNC basketball vs Alabama in 2024 NCAA Tournament

UNC basketball and Alabama will play in the Sweet 16 of the 2024 NCAA Tournament as part of March Madness. The date is set and a game time has been announced.

The top-seeded Tar Heels (29-7) will face the fourth-seeded Crimson Tide (23-11) at the West Regional on Thursday in Los Angeles at Crypto.com Arena, home of the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers. 

The game will be broadcast on CBS. Second-seeded Arizona (27-8) and sixth-seeded Clemson (23-11) will have the first game in L.A. at 7:09 p.m. ET. The Heels and Tide will tip off after the Wildcats and Tigers finish up, which puts the start time at roughly 9:45.

UNC earned double-digit wins against Wagner and Michigan State to secure their 31st berth in the Sweet 16. RJ Davis was one of four Tar Heels to finish in double figures against the Spartans at Spectrum Center in Charlotte.

Alabama earned wins against Charleston and Grand Canyon to advance.

Carolina is 8-5 against Alabama in the all-time series, but the Crimson Tide earned a quadruple-overtime win against UNC last season in Portland. The Heels are 2-1 in the NCAA Tournament against the Tide. 

What time does UNC play Alabama in 2024 NCAA Tournament? 

North Carolina will play Alabama on Thursday in Los Angeles. The game will follow Arizona vs. Clemson, which tips off at 7:09 p.m. ET. That means the Heels and Tide will likely tip off around 9:45.
