You may not know every name in the Dreamville lineup, but you should know these songs
Dreamville Festival will be taking place at Dorothea Dix Park in Raleigh on April 6-7. This is the fourth year of one of the biggest artist-led festivals, led by J. Cole, who grew up in Fayetteville and attended Terry Sanford High School.
The lineup for this year's festival was released Thursday, and while fans will undoubtedly recognize names like Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown and SZA, you might not be familiar with every name on the list. We've got you covered.
In the words of Let’s Kick It 295 founder Jimmie Dillard, let’s “get familiar” with some of the biggest hits from this year’s lineup:
J.I.D
His viral hit “Surround Sound” has amassed 55.6. million views on TikTok. Other hits include “Workin’ Out,” “Off Da Zoinkys” and “Stick."
Lil’ Yachty
Aside from hosting his "A Safe Place Podcast," the Atlanta rapper is known for songs like “The Secret Recipe” with J.Cole, “Poland," "One Night" and "Minnesota."
ScHoolboy Q
The LA rapper and avid golfer has put out hits like “Studio,” “Man of the Year” and “Collard Greens” under the TDE imprint, the same label as headliner SZA.
Sexyy Red
The St. Louis rapper recently gave birth while shooting the video for Drake’s “Rich Baby Daddy” after releasing songs like “Pound Town” and “SkeeYee."
Jeremih
Before joining Cole on his 2014 Forest Hills Drive tour, the crooner released hits like “Birthday Sex,” “Planez" with Cole, and “Down on Me.”
EARTHGANG
Dreamville signees Johnny Venus and Doctor Dot have released songs like “Sacrifices,” "WATERBOYZ," "Baptize," and "Friday."
Teezo Touchdown
Clad in nails, the Beaumont, Texas, artist's hits, like “Impossible,” “Familiarity” and “I’m Just A Fan,” have earned him a spot on this year’s lineup.
Amaarae
The Ghanaian-American artist recently appeared on NPR’s Tiny Desk Series performing her hit songs “SAD GIRLZ LOVE MONEY” and “Angels In Tibet.”
Lute
Also known as GoldMouf, the Charlotte native and Dreamville signee can be heard on songs like “Under The Sun” w/ Cole and DaBaby, “Still Slummin’” and “GED (Gettin Every Dollar).
Luh Tyler
The 18-year-old Florida native made a name with songs like “Change My Wayz,” “Law and Order” and “Back Flippin.”
Domani
As the son of Atlanta rap legend T.I., he has made a name with songs like “Forever Lasting” with Seddy Hendrix and DC Young Fly, and “Henny & Crystals.”
SZA
The TDE signee is known for her hits like “Snooze,” “The Weekend,” “Good Days” and “Broken Clocks.”
Chris Brown
Since releasing his first song “Run It” in 2005, Brown has since dropped hits like “Sensational,” “Under The Influence,"“Loyal” and “No Guidance” with last year’s headliner Drake.
Rema
The Afrobeats artist is known for its like “Calm Down,” “Soundgasm,” “Dumebi" and his appearance on Victony’s “Soweto.”
Jeezy
The Atlanta rap legend and author has countless hits such as “And Then What,” “Go Crazy,” “Standing Ovation” and “Way Too Gone.”
Monica
The R&B songstress began her career in her teenage years with smash hits such as “The Boy Is Mine” with Brandy, “Don’t Take It Personal (Just One Of Dem Days)," “U Should’ve Known” and “Angel Of Mine."
Rae Sremmurd
Signed to Ear Drummers (the group’s name spelled backward), the pair have released hits like “No Flex Zone,” “No Type” and “Black Beatles” with Gucci Mane.
Bas
The Sudanese Dreamville OG is known for songs like “The Jackie” with Cole and Lil TJay, “Tribe” and “Passport Bros” with Cole.
Muni Long
Her newest hit “Made For Me” can be heard playing everywhere alongside her song “Hrs & Hrs."
Cozz
The LA native and Dreamville signee is known for plotting to rob J. Cole on his hit song “LamboTruck” along with other hits like “1993” and “Knock Tha Hustle."
Omen
The Chicago MC was featured on the track “Talk to Me” with Ari Lennox off the Creed III soundtrack and known for his hit "Elephant Eyes."
TiaCorine
The Winston-Salem native and Interscope signee is known for her songs “Freaky T,” “Yung Joc” and “Lotto (Part 2).”
Chase Shakur
After getting signed to Def Jam Recordings, the East Atlanta R&B artist released hits such as “you’re so lovely,” “Too Far Close” “x’s n o’s.”
J. Cole
The Dreamville visionary and Fayetteville native is known for hits like “Power Trip,” “Middle Child” and Drake’s “First Person Shooter.”
Nicki Minaj
The Queens MC and first female artist on Lil Wayne’s Young Money is known for hits like “Everybody” with Lil Uzi Vert, “Moment For Life," “Your Love” and “Anaconda.”
