These five nationally known acts are confirmed for Fayetteville's 41st Dogwood Festival

Fayetteville's Dogwood Festival returns for its 41st year April 27-30 at Festival Park downtown.

Organizers announced Wednesday that this year's festival will include national country music acts Ashland Craft and David Nail on Friday, April 28, and national rock acts Lit and Buckcherry on Saturday, April 29. On Sunday, April 30, the headliner is Who's Bad - The Ultimate Michael Jackson Experience.

The festival is free to attend, but "Best Seats in the House" tickets are available at thedogwoodfestival.com/tickets for $25 on April 28, 29 or 30, or $60 for a three-day pass.

The festival kicks off at 6 p.m. April 27, with the food and wine event Cork & Fork. Single tickets are $40 or $75 for couples at thedogwoodfestival.com/tickets and include small bites from local chefs, beer and wine.

The following day includes carnival rides, live entertainment and food from local vendors.

The third day, Saturday, continues with arts and crafts vendors, a BMX bike show and children's activities. On the final day, the festival closes out with the addition of a car, motorcycle and truck show.

Several local bands will be scheduled to play in various locations downtown throughout the festival.

New in 2023

Axes and Armor Hatchet House will have a free mobile axe-throwing trailer The event is open from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Limbo lovers are invited to show off their skills with the Downtown DJ. Patrons will be able to engage in interactive musical games and dances at the Gillespie Street location.

The Climbing Place will offer a free attraction on Gillespie Street for patrons to climb for the duration of the festival.

Dogwood Festival-sanctioned event, the Cape Fear Soap Box Derby, is a children's motorless car race that will be held April 29 at the Charlie Rose Agri-Expo Center. The last official Soap Box Derby in Fayetteville was held nearly 50 years ago.

In October, the Dogwood Festival held a three-day event. Although under the same umbrella as the annual Dogwood Festival held in the spring, the event was on a smaller scale. 

The last annual Dogwood Festival was in spring 2022 and included acts like rock bands Marcy Playground and Hoobastank; country singers Tyler Farr, Kameron Marlowe and Dillon Carmichael; and Prince tribute band The Purple Madness.
